Digital X-Rays
An X-ray image of the teeth is taken during the annual dental examination. Dr. Perlin of Smiles by Design was one of the first dentists in the state of Illinois to offer
digital x-rays.
The advantages of going digital with x-rays include
- the time it takes to get results
- less radiation used (up to 80%) to generate the images
- the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images.
Once the x-rays have been taken, the images appear on a monitor in the examination room, in front of the dentist & the patient for review.
